In modern building decoration, inorganic stone prefabricated panels are widely used in floor paving due to their excellent physical properties and beautiful appearance. However, some problems are often encountered during the construction process, such as hollowing, warping, etc. In response to these problems and combined with the actual situation on site, we have developed the following inorganic stone prefabricated panel floor paving construction plan.

  1. Tool preparation

To ensure the quality and efficiency of construction, we have prepared the following necessary tools: notched trowel (1cm×1cm), mixing bucket, electric mixer, brush, spatula, rubber hammer, level ruler, etc. These tools will be used throughout the entire construction process to ensure that every step of the operation is accurate and correct.

  1. Material preparation and treatment

①Back treatment of inorganic stone: Before paving, we will apply adhesive or roll waterproof treatment on the back of inorganic stone to enhance its bonding with the base layer and prevent hollowing problems in the later stage.

②Preparation of pasting materials: We selected special adhesives, cement, coarse sand, etc. as the main pasting materials. The water-cement ratio of the special adhesive is 1:4, and it is fully mixed into a slurry with uniform consistency using an electric mixer. When stirring, it is necessary to add water first, and add powder while stirring to ensure the uniformity of the adhesive. At the same time, the bonding material needs to be selected with the same color or close color as the inorganic stone slab to ensure the overall beauty.

③Preparation of cement mortar: Cement and water are mixed into a paste in a certain proportion, which is used to brush on the surface of the base layer to enhance the bonding between the dry ash and the base layer.

  1. Dry ash leveling and paving method

①Dry ash configuration: Mix 32.5 cement and coarse sand (2.8 grade or above) in a ratio of 1:4 and stir into semi-dry cement mortar. This mortar should be held in a ball and spread out after being put down to ensure that it has good adhesion and fluidity.

②Base treatment: Apply a layer of cement mortar on the surface of the base to enhance the adhesion between the dry ash and the base and prevent the occurrence of hollowing.

③Laying dry ash: Lay dry ash according to the standard line and compact it with inorganic stone slabs. The thickness of dry ash should be controlled between 4-7cm, not too thin or too thick.

④Scrape special adhesive: Scrape the special adhesive for inorganic stone evenly on the bonding surface of the terrazzo slab to ensure that each stone slab can be tightly bonded to the base layer.

⑤Laying inorganic stone slabs: Press the terrazzo slab with the adhesive layer scraped on the semi-dry mortar layer, tap it gently with a rubber hammer, adjust the level, align and compact it. During the paving process, ensure that the gap is more than 2mm to prevent the stone from cracking due to thermal expansion and contraction.

  1. Film treatment and maintenance

①Coating treatment: Within 1 hour after the inorganic stone prefabricated board is laid, a small amount of water should be sprinkled on it and then covered with plastic film. This step is to allow the moisture of the base layer and the bonding layer to evaporate slowly, reduce the dry-wet shrinkage ratio, and thus avoid problems such as warping and hollowing. At the same time, the plastic film can also protect the finished product and prevent damage during the construction process.

②Maintenance: Curing under natural conditions for 1~2 days, and the next process can be entered after the caulking agent is completely cured. No one should work within three days after the construction is completed. Watering maintenance is required within one week to keep the surface moist. Knocking and collision are prohibited to ensure the stability and durability of the inorganic stone prefabricated board floor.

In summary, the construction plan for inorganic stone prefabricated slab floor paving must strictly follow the above steps and requirements to ensure the construction quality and effect. At the same time, attention must be paid to safe operation and environmental protection during the construction process to ensure the smooth progress of the construction process.
