Construction process and maintenance of terrazzo

Posted by JaxZeng on

Terrazzo usually has two construction processes: cast-in-place and prefabrication. Cast-in-place is divided into traditional cement terrazzo and epoxy resin terrazzo. Traditional cement terrazzo is simple to construct and cost-effective, but it is easy to wear and has limited appearance. Epoxy resin terrazzo is beautiful and wear-resistant, but it is more expensive, and the material is not as environmentally friendly as cement.

Prefabricated terrazzo is a prefabricated terrazzo wall process, which mainly adopts dry hanging and wet pasting. After completion, it will be polished as a whole. Therefore, the way to put terrazzo on the wall can refer to the dry hanging of stone.

Regarding material maintenance, the most permanent way is to make a layer of sealing curing agent on the surface of terrazzo.
